Highway 577 and Highway 11 Closure

Update to the two portions of Highway 101 near Matheson Ontario that have been closed between Highway 577 and Highway 11 (please refer to image below). The new anticipated end date of the closure is Wednesday August 17^th, 2022 to accommodate a structural culvert replacement at Anthony Creek under MTO Contract 2021-5163.

Fidelity Engineering & Construction Inc. is the General Contractor performing the structural culvert replacement work. Detour signs have been installed on Highway 11 and Highway 577 to direct traffic around the Highway 101 road closure.  Please refer to the image below showing the detour route.

Schedule of Construction

• Fidelity commenced the Highway 101 closure on Monday July 11^th, 2022.
• The road closure will be in place until approximately Wednesday August 17^th, 2022. At this time, this portion of Highway 101 will be opened up to local traffic only
• Detour signs have been erected on Highway 11 and Highway 577 to direct traffic around the road closure of Highway 101.

Emergency Service Access

• Access through the road closure will not be possible once work has commenced.
