Portion of Highway 101 Closure (July 11th - August 12th)

Highway Closure Notice

A portion of Highway 101 near Matheson Ontario will be closed between Highway 577 and Highway 11 (please refer to image below) from Monday July 11^th, 2022 to Thursday August 12^th, 2022 to accommodate a structural culvert replacement at Anthony Creek under MTO Contract 2021-5163.  

Detour signs will be installed on Highway 11 and Highway 577 to direct traffic around the Highway 101 road closure.  Please refer to the image below showing the detour route.  Road closing/restriction notice signs will be erected in advance of the road closure to notify local traffic about the Highway 101 closure.

Schedule of Construction

• Fidelity will commence the Highway 101 closure beginning on Monday July 11^th, 2022.
• The road closure will be in place until approximately Thursday, August 12^th, 2022.
• Detour signs will be erected on Highway 11 and Highway 577 to direct traffic around the road closure of Highway 101.

Emergency Service Access

• Access through the road closure will not be possible once work has commenced.
