Multi-unit dwellings and apartment buildings can be a potential source of infection. They face additional challenges to reducing the spread of COVID-19 due to the number of people circulating in common areas and hallways. There are preventative measures that can protect tenants and staff such as increased cleaning and disinfection of frequently touched surfaces in common areas, including those in shared laundry facilities, physical distancing and wearing masks.
